I’ve been a fan of Saigon for a long time, but I’ve been a fan of him as much for his work OFF of the wax as much as for his music. Back in 2008 I got to see Saigon speak at Seattle Central Community College to promote his Books not Bars charity which raised awareness for the children of incarcerated people. The messages he and his people spoke of were dope, very inspiring. He’s also very vocal in his music and through social media speaking out against the injustices he sees. Here’s another jam from the leader of the Good Guy Gang… showing his unique brand of social activism is Not Like Them.
